From the organization and founding of ADNet in 2002-2003, ADNet has relied mainly on volunteer help.  As funds were available, several of the founding committee (ADTeam) were partially supported as consultants to organize ADNet.

In the summer of 2004, the ADNet Board took action to hire Paul Leichty as part-time Director of ADNet.  His title was changed to "Executive Director" in 2008.

Christine Guth, ADNet's pioneer Associate, was named as Program Associate on an ongoing basis in 2008 as the Student Associates Program was being launched.  The hope was and is for additional Associates like Christine serving around the country as volunteers or with a small stipend.
