Out of an overwhelming experience of depression, Beverlee Buller Keck has written a devotional book entitled, Just One More Day: Meditations for Those Who Struggle with Anxiety and Depression. "I would never suggest that I'm not vulnerable to relapse," she writes. "But through God's grace, the help of doctors and therapists, and the unconditional love and support of family and cherished friends, I have been able to find my way to the road of recovery. It is my heart's desire to share with you the principles that have helped me on my journey through depression and anxiety. May God bless you and keep you!" After beginning the book with her own story, Beverlee offers forty daily reflections. Each day includes a meditation, a suggested action step, and a prayer, followed by a journal page for readers to write their thoughts. Beverlee grew up in a Mennonite Brethren community in the San Joaquin Valley of California. She has served on the ministry staff of Campus Crusade for Christ and several congregations and has also worked in the financial services and entertainment industries. Beginning in 2009, she has been serving as a certified Life Coach. She now lives in Orange County, California with her husband Durwin. They have one adult daughter. |
