Student Associate Program

The Student Associate Program was created in 2008 to encourage college and seminary students across the country to pursue one-year projects that would be helpful to both the student's career path as well as ADNet.

Starting in January 2010, ADNet offers students additional opportunities for focused projects for shorter periods of time.  These projects will normally meet a specific need outlined by ADNet and will be associated with a particular class project.  Financial considerations for these projects will be negotiated with the individual student(s) and the class instructor.  Current project ideas are as follows:

  • General marketing campaign for Congregational Accessibility Network (CAN)
  • YouTube video marketing campaign for Congregational Accessibility Network (CAN)
  • Re-organization and optimization of ADNet website
  • Study of disabilities and environmental issues as they pertain to the church.
  • Adoption, attachment issues and the church.

Applications are now being accepted for the 2010-11 academic year.  Please contact us by phone or email to indicate your interest.  Download the following files, fill out the short application forms, and return them to ADNet using the contact information in the left column.  Student Associates will be selected from the pool of candidates available to us by the early deadline of May 15, 2010.  If slots remain open, additional applications will be accepted until September 1, 2010

Application forms are available below or by calling the ADNet office.  PDF files can be printed, filled out by hand or typewriter, and either faxed or mailed to us.  Microsoft Word files are available in the template format (DOT) which can be saved as a distinct file with the student's initials in DOC format.  These resulting Word documents can be can be handled the same way as PDF files or alternately, can be filled out directly in Microsoft Word (Hint: Use Tab key instead of Enter key!), saved, and sent via email as attachments. (This is actually the preferred way of receiving these.)

Student Associate Program - PDF files These files are in PDF format and can be saved to your computer, printed, and then filled out by hand to fax or send by postal mail.

Student Associate Program - Word files These files are in Microsoft Word (DOC) format. The two forms use Word's form filling capabilities and are in the template format (DOT). They can be filled out in Word, saved to your computer, and then either printed and sent in hard copy format or faxed or emailed as an attachment from your computer.
