The People of ADNet

ADNet consists of people like you!

ADNet's mission is people-focused. ADNet exists to serve families and to equip the local church to include individuals and families living with disabilities and mental illness.

ADNet exists to help all of us help each other. We are not a small group of experts with all the answers.  We encourage you to give as well as receive. You don't have to be a member to ask for help, but we hope that you will give back as you are able. Membership in ADNet is open to individuals and families who share our vision and goals and support this work.

Leadership in ADNet emerged in 2002-03 from our base in northern Indiana. In January 2004, our first national Board of Directors meeting took place.  At the July 2004 meeting, Paul Leichty was appointed Director, (now Executive Director) starting September 1, 2004. As the Board expanded, some of the work has been carried by the Executive Committee.

ADNet recognizes five persons as the founding Administrative Team of ADNet.  Many of these persons still serve as informal Consultants.  More recently, an Advisory Committee was formed.

In 2006, the Associates program was begun to provide for volunteers to work on projects related to ADNet's goals.  Christine Guth, ADNet's first associate, now works half-time for ADNet in a volunteer capacity as Program Associate.  A Student Associates Program began in 2008.
