Worship Resources

We invite you to share with us worship resources you have found or developed that invite and highlight the participation of persons with mental illness and other disabilities.

"Imagining Church as Healing Space: to hear, to hold, to hope" was the theme of the School for Leadership Training at Eastern Mennonite Seminary, January 21-23, 2013.

The conference explored experiences of mental illness, suicide, and grief, and the roles of the faith community, professional supporters, and church members in holding and caring for such wounds in practical, candid and hope-inspiring ways.

Congregations may draw from a collection of worship resources written for the event by Laura Amstuz.

"We Are People in Your Community," a moving reflection on Romans 8:18-23, set as a congregational reading, is reproduced here with permission from the author.
