A group of representatives of Christian denominations and para-church ministries that advocates for persons with disabilities in the church and society. ADNet participates in these yearly meetings as we are able.
A Church of All and for All - An interim statement
This document, published by the World Council of Churches Central Committee reflects on biblical themes and theological considerations related to disability. It is written by persons with disabilities from many different churches around the world. Ecumenical Disabilities Advocates Network (EDAN)
EDAN is a program of World Council of Churches, created after the WCC's Eighth Assembly in Zimbabwe in 1998, whose purpose is to advocate for the inclusion, participation, and active involvement of persons with disabilities in the spiritual, social and development life of church and society. EDAN supports the work of individuals, churches and church organizations concerned with issues affecting disabled people globally. The Accessible Church: Toward Becoming the Whole Family of God A statement issued jointly by the Massachusetts Council of Churches and the Rhode Island State Council of Churches which challenges the churches to envision new possibilities in ministry with persons with disabilities by looking at the Bible and WCC statements.
