ADNet Associates

ADNet Associates are volunteers who work in partnership with ADNet on a project consistent with ADNet’s mission.

The project will normally involve a concentrated period of study and/or outreach around a particular topic or concern, but may also consist of being on call for speaking or consultation based on expertise or experience.

The Associate program was approved by the Executive Committee of ADNet's Board of Directors at its February 24-25, 2006 meeting in Goshen.  At the same meeting, Christine Guth was approved to be the first ADNet Associate working the areas of depression and autism spectrum disorders.

In evaluating the program in October 2007, the Board recommended expanding the program in two ways:

  • Provide for a category of Associates that would essentially make them a part of the ongoing staff of ADNet.
  • Create a Student Associate Program to encourage college and seminary students across the country to pursue one-year projects that would be helpful to both the student's career path as well as ADNet.

Associates appointed thus far:

Christine J. Guth, Mental Illness and Autism Spectrum Disorders, March 2006

Rebecca Fast, Learning Disabilities, August 2007
