Legacy Materials
This section contains materials which were developed by ADNet's predecessor advocacy ministries at MMA and MCC.
In 2002, MMA published materials entitled, "Becoming an Accessible Congregation." However, due to financial restrictions and staff cuts, the program was never fully implemented. ADNet inherited these materials in its start-up phase in 2003 and promoted two major pieces of the "Becoming an Accessible Congregation" campaign. In 2006, MMA granted ADNet special funding to revise and update the materials. With the collaboration of Mennonite.net, along with an additional grant from United Service Foundation, ADNet was able to launch the Congregational Accessibility Network (CAN) in July 2007. Congregations are encouraged to use the more extensive materials which are continuing to be developed and made available at the CAN website. |
