"Build a Haystack" Fund Campaign
Your support is needed! ADNet's "Build a Haystack" Fund Campaign runs from November 2006 through January 2008.
There is a tradition in Indiana & Ohio (and maybe in other places as well!) in which a community comes together around food to support a need or a cause. It involves the building of a pile of food which is commonly called a "haystack." "Haystack dinners" are often used by youth groups, churches, and other organizations to raise funds for projects, medical needs, etc. Recently ADNet board members from other areas of the United States were intrigued by the experience of participating in a "haystack dinner" fundraiser to benefit a family experiencing medical needs related to a disability. This Shipshewana, Indiana, event attracted hundreds of people together who contributed time, energy, ingredients, and dollars for a common cause. In that same spirit of support for a common cause, ADNet announces its "Build a Haystack" Fund Campaign starting with the holiday season of 2006-07. ADNet is working to build a haystack of resources and supports at which families and churches across the United States can feed. Program Goals
