Local Support Groups

This page lists face to face groups for companionship, support, encouragement, and, in some cases, worship.  All of these groups have connections to Anabaptist-related churches or organizations unless otherwise indicated.  The mission and intent of each group is different, so you are encouraged to make a contact ahead of time to introduce yourself and find out more about the group.

Asperger/High Functioning Autism Parent Group of Goshen meets the first Monday of the month, 7:00-8:30 p.m., at Eighth Street Mennonite Church, 602 South Eighth Street, Goshen, Indiana.  For more information contact (574-825-1460) or (574-534-2718). The group serves parents of children through young adults who are on the autism spectrum and who have average or above cognitive abilities. Meetings feature informative speakers and opportunities for conversation with other parents. Spanish interpreter available.


Oasis Support Group Oasis support group is a meeting of Christian families, friends, and caregivers, in Goshen, Indiana, sharing the journey of providing love, care, and support for loved ones with mental illness. Oasis support group meets regularly at Oaklawn (Goshen campus: Conference room) 3:00-5:00 p.m. on the third Sunday of January, March, May, July, September, and November.
