Project Promise Retreat
Mental Health Retreat Find God in the stuff we do every day! Listen in and discuss as speakers share about the miraculous in the normal things we do. This retreat is for individuals affected by mental illness, including family members and friends. Come to support each other, have fun, and enjoy fellowship, music, and worship. Special Week Camp
Special Week has been a highlight of the summer camp season at Black Rock Retreat for over twenty-five years. Black Rock’s own counselors and volunteers serve as staff for adults with intellectual and physical disabilities. Activities such as swimming, arts and crafts, wilderness class, drama, recreation class, archery, and nature class combine with an emphasis on the Word of God for an incredible week of fun. Shalom Retreat Shalom Retreat is an exciting week full of activities, laughter, and friendships for adults with developmental disabilities. Camp Hebron is a year round Christian Camp and retreat center located on the side of Peters Mountain in Powell's valley, just 20 miles north of Harrisburg, PA.
Retreat for Families, Friends and Persons with Disabilities
Laurelville Retreat for Families, Friends and Persons with Disabilities provides a week full of laughter, games and honest sharing about the joys and struggles that accompany persons with disabilities and their families. Throughout the week campers will enjoy games, singing, crafts and devotional times led by trained and dedicated counselors. Input times for adults provide rich information and a safe space for family members to share openly. In addition to camper activities and adult sessions, the schedule includes inclusive worship, free afternoons with respite care, and entertaining evening campfires and themed dances. Joy for the Journey
Joy for the Journey Retreat offers spiritual encouragement and nourishment in a weekend with others who understand the challenges and joys of dealing with intellectual disability in the family. During each session for caregivers, programmed activities are planned for children of all ages and abilities. Bring everyone in the family for a breath of
fresh air on the mountain.
Monarch Camp 1:
June 12-18, 2011
Monarch Camps serve campers with intellectual disabilities ages 16 through adults. Campers are able to experience the joys of camp in a safe environment that accommodates their needs. Campers will participate in arts and crafts, nature, campfires, singing, swimming, and Bible times. Due to rugged terrain, the camp is unable to accommodate individuals who use a wheelchair or walker.
