Mental Health Education
We are getting reports of more churches that are sponsoring events to raise awareness and educate the congregation about issues of mental health and mental illness. Some of these efforts are leading directly into new ministries with persons and families affected by mental illness.
The following congregations have agreed to share summaries, outlines, and/or bibliographies of what they have done as an encouragement to others. Additional churches are welcome to submit materials. Contact the ADNet Office for any additional information. First Mennonite Church of Berne Featured in the Summer 2006 issue of Connections, First Mennonite Church held a 9-week "Mental Health Series."
