ADNet was pleased to participate in Charlotte 2005, the convention of Mennonite Church USA and Mennonite Church Canada in July 2005.
The theme of Charlotte 2005, "Can't Keep Quiet," was an encouragement to share the good news of what God is doing in the world. However, many families struggling with disabilities and mental illness find it difficult to share their journeys amidst the barriers that exist in both society and the church.  Thus, ADNet encouraged conversation with those who
share similar experiences. An ad in Wednesday's mPress, the conference newspaper, encouraged convention-goers to stop and talk and pick up their free stress ball! |
